BSE and NSE to Remain Closed on Thursday Due to Maharashtra Civic Polls

The Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange will remain closed on Thursday in view of the Maharashtra municipal corporation elections.

Trading across equity, equity derivatives, and commodity segments will remain suspended for the day, market authorities confirmed.

As a result of the holiday, contracts scheduled to expire on 15 January will be settled a day earlier, according to exchange guidelines.

Investors and traders have been advised to plan their positions accordingly, as normal market activity will resume after the election-related closure.
